Saskatchewan Roughriders General Manager Brendan Taman announced today the team has acquired import offensive lineman Chris Patrick from Toronto in exchange for a conditional draft pick in the 2014 CFL Canadian Draft.
Patrick (6’5 – 303) dressed in 11 regular season games for the Edmonton Eskimos last season. He started ten games at right tackle along with the West Semi-Final and West Final.
Prior to joining the CFL, Patrick spent four seasons in the NFL with a number of teams making his debut with the San Francisco 49ers in 2009.

Why are we getting another o-lineman? Is this a move for depth? Is it a message for Goodspeed?

Are they not happy with Goodspeed or Fulton? Is this also a message that Heenan is perhaps struggling?
