Fiacco Stepping Down

A bombshell from Regina City Hall this morning. Mayor Pat Fiacco has announced he will NOT be running again for a 5th term. We're getting a new mayor Regina! Whoever takes over has some awfully big shoes to fill. WOW!!

that's a real shame. Any reason given Mitch?

That's a loss for not only Regina but for us here in Saskatoon as well.

He served Regina and the whole province very well.

I have a great deal of respect for that man.

WOW!! is right. He could have had that job for as long as he wanted it. Thanks for everything you did Pat. This city is a much better place because of you.

We don't have Historians, but if we did his tenure was a total disaster. There was mismanaged growth, yearly tax increases with no service increase, water bill hikes to pay for stuff other than water, a municipal strike, a bankrupt civic pension fund, and now a housing crisis because he and his Real Estate pals on Council decided rental properties needed to be converted to condos.

He will be remembered as the popular kid the smart kids were scared to run against for SRC.

Signed,

Maybe a quality guy like Jason Clermont could take a run at the job.

Pat Fiacco is the best thing to have happened to Regina for years. He leaves a huge hole at City Hall.

Hey Anonymous....

You have every right to voice your opinion and state how you feel. However, grow a set and leave your name.
Mayor Pat has left this City in a better condition than when he took the challenge on.

Like I said everyone has there opinion. This is mine and I am not scared to type my name,

Cory

If Fred Clipsham becomes the new mayor, I am moving to Pense.
