Jon Ryan is pleased to announce that he has launched his own website – http://www.jonryan9.com/ is now online.
The website allows fans of Jon Ryan, the Seattle Seahawks, and the NFL to keep current with up-to-date news articles, photos, videos, and statistics. It has also been developed to help raise money for the Bob Ryan Scholarship, which was established in memory of Jon’s father who passed away in 2006 after a courageous battle against cancer. The scholarship benefits the University of Regina Rams and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.
“The scholarship means a lot for me and my family,” Ryan said. “Not only is the scholarship in my father’s name, but it also helps support the Rams student-athletes and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. Both are very important to us and we hope that we can raise the money needed to make a positive impact in their operations.”
There are three ways of making a donation, with all of the proceeds going to support the scholarship –
1) Direct donations through Sask Sport’s Sports Legacy Fund (tax receipts will be provided)
2) Auction of sports memorabilia – Jon will be adding items from the National Football League and other major sport figures for auction through eBay. (all proceeds to the Bob Ryan Scholarship)
3) Jon Ryan’s Punting and Kicking School – Jon Ryan’s own version of a “boot camp” – The goal of this camp is to give Saskatchewan kickers and punters the opportunity to receive quality instruction and improve their kicking game. (all proceeds to the Bob Ryan Scholarship)
“We’re very happy to be able to assist these two organizations and to be able to make these contributions in my father’s name,” Jon said. “And this could not have happened without the help of PSD Services, who donated their time to make the site. Their assistance is greatly appreciated by our entire family.”
