The WHL announced its Eastern Conference all-star teams and most of its awards finalists on Wednesday. The Western Conference all-stars and finalist will be revealed on Thursday. The player of the year finalists will be unveiled on April 14.
All the winners will be announced April 28 at the WHL awards luncheon in Edmonton. Here are the Eastern Conference selections (x – denotes unanimous selection):
FIRST ALL-STAR TEAM
Goal – Martin Jones, Calgary Hitmen.
Defence – Michael Stone, Calgary Hitmen; Brayden McNabb, Kootenay Ice.

Stefan Elliott gets snubbed? I would take this guy over Hamonic any day of the week. I couldn't figure out why Elliott didn't get a TC invite while Hamonic did and now this. I guess I'm missing something.
I agree on Weal. How he doesn't get an all-star nomination when he is 2nd in the league in scoring is beyond me.

Any idea where Davidson came in when it comes to ROY
JN-Elliott over Hamonic. Really? There is no comparison. Hamonic is a much better player in just about every aspect.
