Four Rinks Move To Provincial Scotties

The Saskatchewan Curling Association and Saskatchewan Women's Curling Tour Committee have jointly announced the four teams that have been awarded berths to the 2011 Provincial Women's Championship.

The three highest ranked Saskatchewan teams as of December 13th receiving berths are Saskatoon's Stefanie Lawton, defending champion Amber Holland of Kronau and Chantelle Eberle of Regina.

The highest ranked team from the Saskatchewan Women's Tour is Penny Barker of Moose Jaw.

These four teams will play in the 12 team Provincial Championship to be held in Outlook, January 26-30, 2011. The eight remaining teams will advance through the Northern and Southern playdowns to be held January 13-16, 2011. The Provincial event will have two pools of six teams in a round-robin with the top two in each pool advancing to a Page Playoff.
