Freeman Named Defensive Player Of Month

Saskatchewan Roughrider linebacker Jerrell Freeman has been named the CFL’s Gibson’s Finest Defensive Player of the Month for September.

In September Freeman led the Rider defence with 19 defensive tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and one quarterback sack.

So far this season, Freeman has tallied a career high 76 defensive tackles, four quarterback sacks, three special team tackles, three interceptions, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one tackle for a loss.

Freeman was also named Defensive Player of the Week earlier this season.
