Als Lose Richardson For Season

The Alouettes announced on Tuesday that slotback Jamel Richardson suffered a torn LCL and ACL in his left knee during Sunday's practice and will miss the remainder of the 2013 season. The two-time CFL All-Star will require surgery followed by a nine- to 12-month recovery period, bringing his season to a premature end.

Richardson, who is third among the Alouettes this season with 18 catches for 197 receiving yards, reached the 1,000-yard receiving plateau for a fifth consecutive season with Montreal in 2012.

The Syracuse, NY native has led the team in receiving yards three out of the past five seasons, while also setting a league record for 100-yard games in a single season with 12 and tying the team record for most receptions in a season with 112 in 2011.

Richardson is currently tied for third place on the Alouettes' all-time career receiving touchdowns list with 48.
