Tuesday Rider News
Tyron Brackenridge was named the CFL defensive player of the week for Week 8 for his efforts against the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday. The third year Rider played a key role in keeping the opposing offence out of the end zone, registering two defensive tackles, two forced fumbles, a pass knockdown and an interception.
Through seven games this season, the 29-year-old Washington State product has totaled 22 defensive tackles, three pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles and an interception.
Meanwhile, Riders coach Corey Chamblin could not give an update on Rob Bagg. The Rider receiver suffered what is believed to be yet another knee injury in Saturday's win. Even though he was seen on a video running the stairs at Mosaic Stadium on Monday and was running again Tuesday, Chamblin said the receiver would be re-evaluated later Tuesday with a statement on his condition hopefully coming Wednesday.
