For the 11th straight year the Regina Sports Hall of Fame is honouring people who have contributed to sports within the city by inducting them into the Hall.
This year’s inductees into the Regina Sports Hall of Fame are: Len Antonini and Kelly Hamilton (Builders: football); Jason Clermont (Athlete: football); Flo Rolls (Athlete: bowling); 1932-36 Regina Nationals (Team: baseball); Dick White (Builder: multi-sport); and Marnie Eistetter (Builder: synchronized swimming).
The 11th annual induction ceremony is slated for Thursday, October 10 inside Queensbury Salon B/C at Evraz Place. Reception starts at 7 p.m. with the ceremony slated for 7:45 p.m. Snacks and a cash bar are available. Tickets cost $25 each and $15 for children (12 & under). Dress is business casual. Tickets are available from RSHF directors. Annual memberships can be purchased at the ceremony.
There are now 66 inductees in the RSHF — 26 athletes, 27 builders, 10 teams and three patrons. There are also 150 honourary members with Regina connections who had previously been inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame. The Regina Sports Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization that was formed to honour athletes, builders, teams and patrons who have contributed to sports in Regina. All inductees are displayed at the RSHF site inside The Co-Operators Centre on Evraz Place. Information and the list of past inductees are on our website: www.reginasportshalloffame.com. Nominations must be submitted by May 1 annually.
