Riders Lose Williams For Year
The knee injury suffered by Riders middle linebacker Rey Williams in Winnipeg Sunday is a season-ender. Head coach Corey Chamblin confirmed Williams suffered a torn ACL at the end of Wednesday's practice.
"Rey won't return this year and he'll start rehabbing here in a little while." Chamblin told reporters. "It's always devastating. Any time you lose one of our players, Ray was a leader on our team, he'll continue to be a leader on our team. But that's a part of football. He'll rehab and we'll move forward.
The Riders play the Argos Saturday night at 730. Word is there are still some good tickets available.
