Women’s Basketball – The Cougars kick off their 2013-14 schedule with an exhibition game against Lakeland College on Thursday evening at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport (5:00 start). Cross Country – After a week off following the season-opening Cougar Trot, the U of R’s cross country teams will make the trek down to Minneapolis to run in the Div. II category at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota. The women’s race starts just before 10:00 a.m. CDT, while the men’s race starts at 11:30.

Women’s Hockey – The Cougars went 1-2-0 at the Mandi Schwartz Challenge, opening with a 5-0 win over MacEwan before suffering a pair of close losses to Saskatchewan and Team Sask’s U18 team. Those were the only three non-conference games for the U of R before the Canada West schedule starts at Calgary on Oct. 4 and Oct. 5.
