Rider News On Bridge, Rodgers & Demski

Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Brandon Bridge has let it be known through his Twitter account that he will be sitting down with CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie very soon to talk about the issue of Canadian quarterbacks and the ratio.

Bridge brought the idea up during the season, and was told by Ambrosie that a meeting would take place during the off-season.

As it stands right now, Canadian quarterbacks aren’t considered as Canadians or “nationals” on the game-day roster, but the presence of Bridge along with Calgary’s Andrew Buckley has resulted in Bridge wanting to pursue the issue so that other Canadian quarterbacks have a chance.
Bridge, who will be a free agent in February, threw for 10 touchdowns and four interceptions during the season.

Meanwhile, defensive back Kacy Rodgers worked out for the Minnesota Vikings on Friday, and 3Down Nation's Justin Dunk told 620 CKRM's Sportscage Friday night that receiver Nic Demski will be working out for the New York Giants later this month.

Demski with the NFL? I was questioning whether he was even good enough to last in the CFL.

Same could be said with Rogers!

I hope they both make it because I'd rather see them replaced.
