Riders Ink Three Pass Grabbers

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today they have signed import receivers Dwayne Eley, Aaron Love and Aaron Waldie to contracts. Financial details of the contracts were not released.



Eley (5’10 – 180 lbs) played four seasons at Stony Brook where he finished his college career as the team’s top receiver. The 22-year old finished his time at Stony Brook with 157 receptions for 2,062 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also tallied 27 carries for 149 yards and two touchdowns. A graduate of Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C, Eley was a three-year letter winner in football, garnered 2004 WCAC all-conference honours , helped team to a WCAC football championship in 2003.



Love (5’8 – 165 lbs) played four seasons at Delaware where he tallied 186 receptions for 2,376 yards and 11 touchdowns. The 23-year old finished his college career as Delaware’s top receiver in career receptions. In 2006 Love was 3rd Team All-Atlantic 10 and in 2007 was Pre-Season 1st Team All-CAA and finished 1st Team All-CAA. In 2007 he was also an All-American Honorable Mention.



Waldie (5’9 – 185 lbs) played at Hillsdale College where he finished as the school’s career TD record holder. In 2008, he was an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention, and Lindsey’s College Preview All-American. In 2007, Waldie was selected to the All-GLIAC 1st Team. The 23-year old had 137 receptions for 2,027 yards and 25 touchdowns in 32 games played at Hillsdale College. Waldie was also a member of the Hillsdale Track team.
