Two New Riders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today they have signed import linebacker Byron Bullock and import defensive lineman Steven Riddick to contracts. Financial details of the contracts were not released.

Bullock (6’0 – 212 lbs) started all 11 games in senior season at South Dakota and finished the year with 59 defensive tackles. He was an honorable mention on the Great West Conference all-conference football team. The 23-year old transferred from the College of the Canyons where he played for two seasons and was named all-conference honorable mention for defense as a freshman where he had four career interceptions, 62 tackles, six sacks, and five forced fumbles.

Riddick (5’11 – 275 lbs) spent four seasons at the University of Texas El Paso where he started all 12 games as a senior and had 29 defensive tackles, four tackles for a loss and one quarterback sack. He was selected as an All-Conference USA Honorable Mention in his senior season. The 23-year old started every game at nose tackle in his junior season and led all defensive linemen with 32 defensive tackles to go along with 4.5 tackles for a loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks.
