C'mon Kevin Show Some Class!

Kevin Martin's 30 game Brier win streak came to an end at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario Monday night. Martin's Alberta rink was beaten and beaten soundly by Newfoundland's Brad Gushue in a battle of Olympic skips.
After the game, Martin appeared to be cordial with the quotes he gave, but there was no doubt that he was being less than cordial when the game was over. Martin was quick to do the obligatory handshakes and then TSN caught him leaving as quickly as he could. He didn't leave with the rest of his tem, he just high-tailed it out of there. He came off to me looking like an extreme poor sport. As someone who covered Kevin during his early days in Alberta, I have gotten that poor sport vibe from him before and that feeling certainly returned as I watched him leave the ice. Win with class, but lose with it as well.

Speaking of Kevin, check out the fake Kevin Martin twitter site at http://twitter.com/#!/fakekevinmartin

Pat Simmons (Steve Laycock) likely won't go to the playoffs at the Brier after what has to be termed as a disastrous Monday. Team Saskatchewan should be right there with the leaders, but Simmons had a brain cramp against Gushue and suffered a hogline violation at the worst time in the morning game and then came up a hair short with a draw to win in the evening game against Nova Scotia. You just can't have mistakes like that in a competition like this but Team Saskatchewan seems to do this year after year after year which is why Team Saskatchewan hasn't won a Brier in a long, long time. The Saskies are 2-3 and still have a chance, but the brainfarts must end if they are to be there.

Charlie Sheen is done! Is it that big of a surprise? What happens to TV"s number one show now. It has to be over. You can't lose Charlie Harper and try to replace him with someone new. The adventures of Alan Harper and Jake simply won't cut it anymore. If Warner Brothers and CBS were to go out and get someone else, who would it be. Derek "Duke" Meyers from Global Regina would be a viable choice, but seriously who would it be. One friend of mine suggested Ted McGinley. I am hoping he texted me this before going in for his lobotomy. Does anyone remember Ted McGinley (Jefferson Darcy on Married with Children and Roger Phillips on Happy Days)? Seriously though, who could replace Sheen? Bradley Cooper? Emilio Estevez? Judd Nelson? Does it really matter? To me Charlie Harper will go down as one of TV's best ever characters alongside Al Bundy, Dan Fielding and Dr. Johnny Fever.

If you are down over the dome or no dome, don't buy that sympathy card just yet. The fire may not be completely extinguished from what I am hearing. (Does it have anything to do with pennies??!!)

Good hearing from Luca Congi while sitting in with Rod on the Sportscage Monday. Luca says it is still his goal to be in uniform for the home opener against the Eskimos July 3. Luca was on to promote his kicking camp. Go to http://precisionkicking.net/ for more information.

I can not believe the Miami Heat cried as reports suggest after their loss to Chicago on Sunday. If they did, its more reason to root against them,

Is Winnipeg coming back to the NHL? Even though I'm an Oilers fan, I hope so!

How the hell does the  University of Victoria womens basketball team "eliminated" from playoffs two weeks ago by the Cougars get back in as a wild card. That's not right. Be at the CKHS Friday night for the regional tournament to decide who goes to the CIS national championship. Four very good teams will be fighting it out with the Cougars being one of them. Just ignore the guy doing the announcing.
-----
Its been seven years since the Steve Moore-Todd Bertuzzi incident? Somehow I think the game will be a lot different once Moore's court case happens and I don't think it will be for the overall good of the game.

The Michael Cole, Stone Cold Steve Austin, JBL bit on RAW was priceless.

Former WWE diva Sunny is going to the WWE Hall of Fame. There was nothing wrong with Sunny doing her day.

Nothing whatsoever! As for what she looks like today.

She's aged well I would say. I wonder how much it would cost the High Impact Wrestling boys to bring Sunny to town.

I have a photographic memory, but most of the time I need some film.

Have a good Tuesday!

Top 3 WWE Divas

1. Torrie Wilson
2. Elizabeth
3. Trish Stratus

Sunny was the first, but by no means was she the best.

It wasn’t a report that suggested some Heat players cried in the locker room after a recent loss -- it was a direct quote from head coach Erik Spoelstra in his postgame news conference. He's been busy ever since trying to put out the fire he started.

How the hell does the University of Regina women's basketball team get to host a tournament and possibly go to nationals after getting eliminated from the playoffs last Saturday by the Saskatchewan Huskies? I guess if the Cougars are still considered eligible for nationals, even though they lost, the Vikes should be, too.

Any WWE diva talk starts and ends with Stacy Kiebler!!!

Well numbnutz who asked the basketball questions. Here's the answer. The Cougars advanced to the Canada West final four last weekend and finished 2nd. Alberta and Fraser Valley lost. All four teams go to regionals with the Cougars hosting one because they finished 2nd much like the Huskies would have had they lost Saturday night. Alberta and Fraser Valley are also in regionals in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Victoria didn't play last weekend, but for some stupid reason they get to come back. Its pretty simple, but for someone like you who can't even post a name, its obviously too difficult.

Because he left the sheet you are calling him a poor sport? He shook hands and left. What was he supposed to do, stand there and applaud Brad Gushue for whipping his ass? Big deal. He handled his media requests as soon as he left the ice and was very complimentary of Team Newfoundland. It's not like he slammed his broom, kicked a rock or cursed like I've seen many other curlers do. You are making an issue over absolutely nothing.

When talking about WWE divas, it seems everyone is forgetting about current day goddess Kelly Kelly.

Does the CIS just come up with different formulas every year to make up who gets to nationals? Just take the top two in each conference and move on. It shouldn't be that difficult. It is stupid that Victoria is back in the mix, but its dumber that Alberta and Fraser Valley are still there too.

The old bear doesn't like getting beat and he shows that everytime he does. He couldn't wait to get out of there last night. At least leave with your team. He didn't do that this morning when he won did he. Win with dignity and lose with class. Kevin just doesn't lose enough to feel any humility. He's no better than Jones in that respect.

The fake Kevin twitter account is hilarious.
