Adam Brooks had four assists as the Regina Pats scored the only two goals of the 3rd period to take Game 5 of the WHL East final 5-3.
Brooks set up Dawson Leedahl for the winner at the 6:25 mark of the 3rd and then had a helper on Austin Wagner's empty-netter with 2 seconds to play.
The victory means the Pats can earn a spot into the WHL Final Sunday night in Lethbridge in Game 6. The Hurricanes will try to force a Game 7 on Tuesday.

Out west, the Seattle Thunderbirds got 3 assists from Matt Barzal in a 5-3 win over Kelowna to take a 3-2 lead in that series. They will look to end it Sunday in Kelowna. The T-Birds once again did not have defenceman Ethan Bear in the lineup. It is thought he may have a broken hand after blocking a shot in Game 3 of the series.

Just a matter of time now.
Terrible start, great finish. Pats just seem to be grinding Lethbridge down with each shift.
Scruffy:
During last night's show, you brought up the current ownership group and the job they have done. You also mentioned Cliff Mapes and the job he did in marketing this franchise.
I can only imagine what Cliff would have been able to do bow. I don't think its any secret the Parkers weren't interested in winning, they just wanted to try and make some dollars, Like the teams on the ice, they failed miserably thanks in part to Russ giving Brent a job he had no right in getting. As a result, Regina hocky fans suffered year after year after year.
Mr. Marquart has delivered a winner. He went out and got John Paddock to run the show. A man with hockey experience. A vision was laid out, and a plan was made. That plan has come together.
Regardless of how the team finishes, Mr. Marquart and crew have given Regina a reason to be proud of its junior hockey team again. What you are seeing at the rink with fans is years of pent-up emotion coming out. It's very simlar to the Oilers in Edmonton.
Darren
I obviously missed something, but why was Wong getting booed everytime he touched the puck. Guy has done nothing for Lethbridge in the games I've seen.
Because Wong is a whiner to the officials and a cheap shot artist. Always has been and will go nowhere in hockey after this season.
Wong got booed because he is a whiny baby making false accusations after he cross checks top players in the face
1) Darren hits the nail on the head with his thoughts
2) Wong accused Leedahl of biting him in a scrum in the 3rd period of Game 4 and whined for the rest of the night. He has senior hockey career written all over him.
Correct, the Parkers nearly ruined the pats beyond repair. Full thanks to the new ownership group.
