Regina Pats General Manager Chad Lang announced this afternoon the acquisition of nineteen year old Defencemen Art Bidlevskii from the Prince George Cougars. In return the Pats have sent nineteen year old Defencemen and Victoria, B.C. product, Cody Carlson to the Cougars.
The 6’1 200lb Biblevskii was the Cougars Captain last season before relinquishing the role to NHL first rounder Brett Connolly at the start of this season. Bidlvevskii is a physical shutdown style defencemen that has earned a reputation as a hard guy to play against and has accumulated 472 penalty minutes over the past three seasons. Currently out due to a broken thumb Bidlevskii is expected to return to play in about one week’s time.
“Art is a tremendous physical presence and brings with him quality leadership” commented Pats General Manager Chad Lang. “To be a captain at 18 years old is a testament to his overall character.”
