Eric The Eskimo

Eric Tillman is officially back in the CFL. He has signed a three year deal to become the new general manager with the Edmonton Eskimos. Tillman says he is starting fresh and that if he is asking people to judge and evaluate him that way, he will do the same thing when it comes to dealing with the Eskimos. He says his greatest mandate and his ultimate objective is to make their Canadian talent the best one in the CFL.
He also says he is incredibly grateful for the leap of faith that the Eskimos have given him. He also says there are no words out there to express the magnitude of his remorse for what has happened to him in the past. He also hopes to bring the people of Edmonton a football team that they can be proud of both on the field and off of it.

This is a dark day in Rider history! This will come back to bite us in the ass. He is the best GM we had and we let him go because of public pressure. Did Pittsburgh get rid of Roethlisberger? No, they stood by him. Did the Ravens get rid of Ray Lewis? No, they stood by him. Our downfall can be attributed to a narrow minded board led by Mr. Hopson as far as I am concerned.

"The most important thing I learned, the lesson I will teach my children, is the importance of compassion, forgiveness, not to pre-judge. Not to assume the worst of people, but to look at their best."

Really Tillman? That's the most important thing that you've learned? If there is one thing that is clear right now it is that this Creap can't get over himself and he'll never fully realize the wrong that he did. Good riddance Tillman.

Anonymous not named Larry,

He was high on self-dosed prescription drugs at the time. There was never any hint of wrong doing before or after the fact. The family didn't want him charged, the girl didn't want him charged. Everybody else has forgiven him except a couple of pompous holier-than-thou's like you.

Give it up-he's paid his dues, learned his lesson and realizes that not everyone who makes an error of judgment is from the pits of hell's darkest corner.

Sounds like maybe you are projecting a little self anger on to Mr. Tillman maybe? guilty of worse charges than him perhaps?

SO many people forget that the Riders were not the first team that ever tied a can to Tillman's ass (Although he did resign which is important to note) and I predict we won't be the last. Worst of luck Eric, keep your hands off the babysitter...

Eric was in a no-win situation the moment his problems became public. He has been given another chance by another team. and I am sure he will succeed. As Ken Miller said today, good luck Eric, just not against us.
