The Philadelphia Flyers have returned defenceman Ricard Blidstrand and forward Campbell Elyniuk to the Regina Pats this morning. That leaves Jordan Weal (LA), Garrett Mitchell (Washington) and Brandon Davidson (Edmonton) at NHL camps. The Pats season starts Friday night with a home encounter against Swift Current.
After not really having much of a chance to follow the Pats or the WHL last season, I am looking forward to dealing with those in Tier 1 again.
One other note. Former Rogers Sportsnet Flames and CHL play-by-play man Peter Loubardias is back in hockey, but without a microphone in hand. Dean Millard is reporting on his junior hockey blog (http://thepipelineshow.blogspot.com/) that Peter has joined the scouting staff of the Red Deer Rebels.

Too bad about Pete, but he's a big boy and he'll do a fine job with the Rebels.
