Boreham (5’11 – 200) returns to green and white for the third time. The 9 year CFL veteran originally spent three seasons with the Riders after being acquired from Hamilton in March of 2007 helping the Riders to a Grey Cup victory in his first season.
The University of Manitoba product returned after signing a free agent contract in September of 2011 but saw no game action. The Vancouver, B.C native has also played for Toronto and Winnipeg after originally being drafted by the B.C. Lions in the 2nd round (16th overall) of the 2001 Canadian College Draft.
Sweed (6’4 – 220) spent three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being draftedin the 2nd round (53rd overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. The Navasota, TX native appeared in 20 regular season games, registering 7 receptions for 69 yards and was a member of the 2009 Super Bowl Champions following the Steelers victory over Arizona in SuperBowl XLIII .
The 27-year old spent four seasons at the University of Texas before making the jump to the NFL where he was a two time Rose Bowl Champion and member of the 2005 BCS National Championship team.
The Riders also announced they have released DL Robert Rose

Dwayne Jarrett 2.0, how about Justin Harper? I guess sooner or later one of these big US receivers has to pan out but I doubt Sweed is the guy.
Robert Rose released is way more interesting. I guess that means its Mick Williams job from here on in
