What Did You Miss Monday

--Cameron Marshall is back with the Riders.  The running back, who had a team high 543 yards last season before a knee injury, had failed his physical with the team just before training camp.  The Riders get back on the field Wednesday as they start getting ready for a game against the 7-0 Stampeders Sunday night starting at 5. 

--Several CFL teams are kicking the tires of former Riders receiver Duron Carter, but no offer has been made yet.  It is still believed Carter could end up back in Montreal.

--Golf Canada has announced several Canadians are receiving exemptions into the LPGA's CP Canadian Women's Open which runs next week at the Wascana. Amongst those exemptions are Brooke Henderson, long time Canadian pro Lorie Kane and Saskatoon's Anna Young.  At least 15 Canadians will be in the 156 woman field for the event which includes defending champ Sung Hyun Park. Four more exemptions will be determined on Monday at the Royal Regina as an 18-hole stroke-play qualifier will be held.

--The Islanders say defenceman Noah Dobson, the 12th overall pick in this June’s NHL Draft has agreed to a three-year, entry-level contract. Last season, Dobson, had 17 goals and a team-leading 52 assists in 67 regular-season games for Acadie-Bathurst before adding three goals and 10 assists in 20 playoff games as Titan won the Memorial Cup for the first time in franchise history.

--The Regina Red Sox are down 2-0 in the best of 5 WMBL final after a 6-4 loss in Medicine Hat as over 1500 fans packed Athletics Park for the game.  The Red Sox look to stay alive Tuesday night at Currie Field in a 705 start.

--Former WWE superstar Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart has died at the age of 63. Neidhart was best known as the tag-team partner of  Bret Hart in a team known as "The Hart Foundation" that many in the wrestling world say was the best tag-team ever created.
