What Did You Miss Saturday?

--William Powell scored a TD in the dying seconds to give Ottawa a 24-17 win over Montreal.  The Alouettes led the game 17-11 after three.  Johnny Manziel was 16 of 26 for 168 yards with no interceptions and no touchdowns. Ottawa QB Trevor Harris finished one completion shy of tying Henry Burris‘ CFL record with 44 completions and just under 500 passing yards. After the game, Als GM Kavis Reed said he would reach out to ex-Rider receiver Duron Carter.

--Former Riders linebacker Jeff Knox Junior has a new NFL home.  The Washington Redskins announced they have signed Knox to a deal.

--Brooks Koepka is in the lead at the P-G-A Championship. Koepka is trying to become the fourth player to win the U-S Open and the P-G-A in the same year. He sits at 12 under, two strokes ahead of Australia's Adam Scott. Tiger Woods is four off the pace.

--The WMBL final begins Sunday in Medicine Hat.  The Mavericks are home to the Regina Red Sox. Game 3 of the best-of-five series will go Tuesday in Regina.

--Barry Bonds had his #25 jersey retired by the San Francisco Giants. In a lengthy pre-game ceremony before a game against Pittsburgh, Giants fans serenaded the 7-time National League MVP.  Bonds is baseball's home run king having hit 762 homers.  Many of these are believed to have been hit when he was on performance enhancers.
