--Andrew Harris combined for 128 yards and one touchdown as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers held off a late charge and defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 29-23. The victory tied the Bombers with Edmonton for second place in the CFL West Division as both are 5-3.
--The Regina Red Sox are heading to the WMBL final. They hung on to beat Weyburn 7-6 in Game 5 to take the series 3-2. They will start the final in Medicine Hat Sunday.
--Toronto Raptors fans will want to circle February 22nd in their calendars. That's when all-star guard DeMar DeRozan makes his return to Toronto after being traded to San Antonio in the off-season. DeRozan spent nine seasons in Toronto and was the face of the franchise before being shipped to the Spurs in the deal that sent star forward Kawhi Leonard to the Raptors.
---The Detroit Red Wings have re-signed Dylan Larkin to a 30.5-million-dollar (US), five-year contract. The 22-year-old centre was a restricted free agent. He led the team with a career-high 63 points and was third with 16 goals last season. He has 56 goals and 140 points over three seasons, playing in at least 80 games each year.
--Gary Woodland was the leader at 10 under when the second round of the PGA Championship was suspended at Bellerive Country Club, where a band of strong storms brought heavy rains. Woodland is one shot better than Kevin Kisner after both completed morning rounds without any issue. Nobody in the afternoon wave finished their second round, which will resume Saturday mornin
