Jeff Knox Junior Returns To Riders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced they have signed international linebacker Jeff Knox Jr.

Knox (6’2 – 225 lbs.) returns to the Green and White after originally spending the 2015 and 2016 seasons with the team. Last season, the 25-year-old Pittsburgh native had 65 defensive tackles while adding 20 special teams tackles in 17 regular-season contests.

During his 2015 rookie season, Knox established a Saskatchewan Roughriders single season record with 114 defensive tackles on his way to being named the teams Most Outstanding Player, Most Outstanding Defensive Player, and Most Outstanding Rookie.

Knox recently attended training camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after signing with the team in January. He saw action in three preseason games collecting two defensive tackles.
