Regina goes into the last weekend of the WHL regular season leading Brandon by three points for 3rd in the East. The Pats will finish with a home-and-home against Swift Current starting Friday in Regina while Brandon finishes with two against Moose Jaw.
Meanwhile, the Pat Canadians season came to an end as they were beaten in Saskatchewan Midget Triple A action by the P-A Mintos 2-1 giving the Mintos a best of 5 semi-final in three straight.

Leafs won their 11th straight at home beating Dallas in a
back-and-forth affair 6-5. Patrick Marleau tied it at 5 for Toronto
with just 15 seconds to go in the 3rd. Leafs goalie Fredrik Andersen
left after two periods with an upper-body injury. Meanwhile, Anaheim
beat Vancouver 3-0. The Canucks have not scored in their last 229
minutes.
--The madness begins for real Thursday as the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament begins with the round of 64 games in various places across the U-S. The Virginia Cavaliers are seen as the favourites to cut down the nets at the final four in San Antonio.
--Extra innings throughout the minor leagues will start with a runner at second base.
In addition, the pitch clock that began at Triple-A and Double-A in 2015 will be lowered from 20 seconds to 15 when there are no runners on base, the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues said Wednesday. The timer will remain at 20 seconds with runners on.
"We believe these changes to extra innings will enhance the fans’ enjoyment of the game and will become something that the fans will look forward to on nights where the game is tied late in the contest," NAPBL President Pat O’Conner said in a statement.
--The Arnold Palmer Invitational starts Thursday and guess who is the favourite according to Bodog to win in the star-studded event. Bodog has Tiger Woods as the favourite after his 2nd place finish at the Valspar Championship last weekend. He is 13/2 to win followed by Jason Day, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Rickie Fowler
