University of Regina Rams quarterback Noah Picton will get a chance to try and continue his football career.

On Sunday, the Toronto Argonauts announced they have signed Picton to a contract that runs through the 2021 season.

The 23-year-old finished his USports Canada career as the all-time leader in passing yards with 11,494 yards.  It could have been well above 12,000 had it not been for the fact he missed the final three games of the Canada West season with a foot injury.

The Regina product, who went to camp with the Argonauts last season, finished his career second in USports football history in pass completions with 835 and seventh in completions at 835 and touchdown passes with 71. He was named the Hec Crighton Trophy winner as the top University football player in Canada in 2016.

Hair on the Argos. I guess that's a stone Chris Jones didn't look under.

Good for him, against all odds.

Hope he can make the roster somehow. Odds are stacked against him, but he should be used to that.
