Canada is 2-0 at the World Juniors after a 6-3 win over Slovakia but it
wasn't easy.
The Canadians trailed 2-0 and 3-1 before getting things together and scoring
the last five goals of the game.
Ryan Strome had a pair to lead the Canadians while Morgan Rielly had a goal
and two assists.
The Canadians also lost two players to game misconducts and wait to see if
there will be any supplementary discipline. Regina's J-C Lipon was kicked out in
the first period after delivering a check in which he made contact with the
head. In the 2nd period, a Slovak player had to be stretchered off after what
looked to be a clean hit by Anthony Camara.
Canada will take on the U-S Sunday morning before finishing group play on New
Year's Eve against Russia.
