Regina Red Sox Name Their New Manager

The Regina Red Sox, the Back to Back champions of the Western Major Baseball League in 2011 and 2012 announced today they have hired Jay Livingston to be Head Coach of the team for the 2013 season. Livingston replaces Justin Eiswirth who stepped down for personal reasons in September after one season as head coach.
“We are excited that a local person with coaching experience and who is a Red Sox alumnus is able to accept this commitment” said General Manager Bernie Eiswirth

Won Doug Homme award for top High School player in 2001
Played 2 years Prairie Baseball academy in Lethbridge, Alberta
Played 2 years at University of Arkansas – All conference 3rd base in 2005
Played 2 years with the Regina Red Sox 2005-2007
Coached Midget AAA Athletics for 3 years
Married to wife Roxanne in July 2012

The Red Sox also announced former head coach Rob Cherepuschak will be back for a second year as the Director of Player Personnel and will be in charge of Recruiting.
