Blue Jays Make Huge Trade With Marlins
The Toronto Blue Jays have sent a message out to the rest of the American League and that is they intend to be a contender in 2013. The team has made a blockbuster trade with the Florida Marlins.
The Blue Jays are set to acquire starters Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle, shortstop Jose Reyes, infielder/outfielder Emilio Bonifacio and catcher John Buck from the Marlins, sources told FOXSports.com.
The Marlins will receive a package that includes shortstops Yunel Escobar and Adeiny Hechavarria, major-league right-hander Henderson Alvarez, minor-league left-hander Justin Nicolino, center fielder Jacob Marisnick, catcher Jeff Mathis and minor league right-hander Anthony DeSclafani

Morrow, Johnson, Buerhle and Romero make up a pretty nice stsrting staff. I think they turn around and swap Buerhle before camp though.
Dare I say the Jays are now in contender status?

I thought they might get a bag of used balls and some pitching rosin for Escobar after his stunt last year. I guess not! Great trade!
