One day before he was to receive a $150,000 bonus, the Montreal Alouettes have released quarterback Darian Durant.
The move comes just days after the team signed former NFL starter Josh Freeman to a two-year contract.
Durant. who signed a three-year, $1.25 million dollar deal with Montreal, after being acquired in January of 2017 in a trade with Saskatchewan struggled as he threw for 3,233 yards, 15 TD's and 16 interceptions with the team posting a 3-15 last season.

Did anyone think this wouldn't happen?
If Darian wants to play, he needs to realize it isn't at the money he wants. His best days are behind him.
He wanted to play the victim here. If he had taken Jones' offer, who knows what type of season he might have had wearing green.
Why do players/agents even put off season bonuses in their contracts? Seems they rarely get paid out...imo
Good riddance !
Not a fan.
