One of the most popular players to ever wear a Rider uniform is letting everyone know of a health scare.
Don Narcisse went to Facebook Wednesday morning to announce he is battling prostate cancer. "Narco" says he has been diagnosed with the first stage of the disease and is thankful doctors in Texas caught it early.
While Narcisse lives in Regina, he was back in his home state when the cancer was discovered.
The 52-year-old says he will be starting treatment in a very short time.
Since making the post, Narcisse has been bombarded with positive wishes from many fans of both himself and the club.
Narcisse played with the Riders for 13 seasons and was part of their Grey Cup winning team in 1989. He was named to the CFL Hall of Fame in 2010.
