Riders-TiCats Pregame Tidbits

---The 2019 season opener between Hamilton and Saskatchewan will be the earliest regular season game in league history by one day. The previous record earliest games were last season on June 14, 2018 between Edmonton and Winnipeg, and on June 15, 2004 between Saskatchewan and Toronto

--Saskatchewan comes in riding a 5-game win streak over Hamilton.  Since 2004 they are 23-7 (.767) vs the Ti-Cats

-- The Riders have the CFL's oldest roster heading into 2019 at 28.2 years per player - the CFL average is 27.3 years of age.

--Hamilton's roster contains more 1st Year players (15) than any other club

--Zach Collaros is 242 yards away from 17,000 career passing yards

--Both Riders HC Craig Dickenson and Hamilton HC Orlando Steinauer are making their CFL head coaching debuts

--Since 2012, the Riders are 16-20 in June/July

1) The oldest roster?

2) I think Hamilton wins strictly for the fact the game is out East, but if the offense comes to play, the Riders will be tough to beat. It's all on Collaros

3) Is it any coincidence you and Luc sound much better without someone else around? Hmmmm!! Great show yesterday!

Heard you talking about Riders yesterday. You seem to have them pegged for 3rd to 5th. If the offense is somewhat average and not putrid like last year and the D, which I think has gotten better, plays up to expectations, I think they can challenge Calgary for first.

I do agree with you on Winnipeg though. Don't know why there is so much love for them going into the season.
