James Paxton of Ladner, BC no-hit the Blue Jays as the Seattle Mariners took a 5-0 win. Paxton (2-1) struck out seven and walked three batters in a 99-pitch masterpiece, getting a rousing ovation from the 20,513 at Rogers Centre.

--It wasn't a good day for the Blue Jays.  Before the game, they learned pitcher Roberto Osuna had been charged with assault after an incident with a woman early Tuesday morning. Osuna has been placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball. He is in court June 18.

--It also wasn't a good day for Baltimore Orioles pitcher Dylan Bundy. He became the first pitcher in modern MLB history to give up four home runs without recording an out, according to Elias Sports Bureau research. In the first inning against the Royals in Baltimore, Bundy faced seven hitters without recording an out. He gave up four home runs, two walks and seven baserunners total, leading to seven runs and an exit after just 12 minutes.

--Swift Current has a 2-1 lead in the WHL final.  Glenn Gawdin tied it late shorthanded and then won it in overtime less than three minutes in as the Broncos beat Everett 3-2. Game 4 is tonight in Everett.

--The new coach of the Carolina Hurricanes is Rod Brind'Amour, The former player, who was captain of the team when they won the Stanley Cup in 2006, spent 20 seasons in the NHL with Carolina, Philadelphia and St. Louis.  He is also a former Notre Dame Hound. 

--The Edmonton Eskimos announced a profit of $438,000 on Tuesday.  They also announced they have extended the contracts of GM Brock Sunderland and Head Coach Jason Maas. Both are under contract through to the end of the 2020 season.
