The Riders released running back Tre Mason on Friday.
The 25-year-old, who had spent three seasons with the St. Louis Rams, suffered a severe knee injury in the last regular-season game of the year. It was an injury that would have sidelined him for the entire 2019 campaign.
Mason ran for over 800 yards and three touchdowns in his lone season with the Riders.
